Fly Me to the Moon is a work born from a process of co-creation, in which the painterly languages of Ilaria Berenice and Paolo Amoretti intertwine until they become indistinguishable.

The abstract central face, drawn in ink by Ilaria Berenice, emerges as a silent and suspended core — an essential presence around which the entire composition takes shape. Surrounding this figure, the pictorial field expands in a dynamic circular rhythm, animated by the intense use of primary colors — particularly red, yellow, and blue — a distinctive hallmark of a phase in Paolo Amoretti’s abstract research.

The work does not arise from superimposition, but from dialogue: gestures, marks, and color fields respond to one another, constructing a space in which the face is not a portrait, but a threshold. Fly Me to the Moon evokes an upward movement, a pull toward elsewhere, as if the figure were positioned at the center of an inner and cosmic trajectory at the same time.

The result is a layered and vibrant presence, where figuration and abstraction coexist, and the identity of the work is shaped precisely through the encounter of two pictorial sensibilities sharing the same field of exploration.
