Description

St Germain is a co-created work shaped through a shared painterly process and a convergence of distinct artistic sensibilities.

Created collaboratively by Ilaria Berenice and Paolo Amoretti, the work unfolds through an intuitive division of focus: Ilaria Berenice concentrated primarily on the emergence of the face, while Paolo Amoretti’s presence is strongly felt in the chromatic structure of the background. The use of primary colors — particularly red and blue — reflects a characteristic phase of Paolo Amoretti’s abstract painting, forming a vibrant and dynamic field around the figure.

As the face took form, Ilaria Berenice recognized within it the presence of Adamus St Germain — an archetypal figure associated with transformation, consciousness, and inner alchemy. From this recognition, the painting took its title, becoming a visual threshold between human presence and symbolic awareness.

The figure appears suspended within a charged space of color and gesture, where abstraction and figuration coexist. Layers of paint accumulate through tension and release, suggesting a presence that is at once grounded and transcendent — shaped through dialogue, intuition, and shared vision rather than predefined roles.

St Germain embodies the essence of co-creation as a layered presence: a work where individual gestures remain distinct yet inseparable, contributing to a unified and resonant whole.

The original artwork has been acquired by a private collector in Milan and is no longer available.
